Thank you Visalia!

What is Measure E?

RedwoodIt is a “general obligation bond measure” on the Nov. 6 ballot. It asks Visalia Unified School District voters to approve the extension of the current school bond property tax rate, without raising the rate, to help our schools.

Measure E puts Visalia Unified at the front of the line for state matching funds, so we can increase our local investment of $60 million to over $120 million for needed improvements.

How will Measure E revenue be used?

To fund a wide variety of upgrades and improvements and new classrooms or portables. Measure E will also fund a new middle school that is needed now to reduce overcrowding, at a cost of about $35 million.

No funds will be used for salaries and the state cannot take these funds.
